I agree. I, however, like...

the new Lederer Inverto release. His design seems more avant-garde. His technical ability with his independent double wheel escapement seems innovative too. Just look at that movement!

New escapement? There's a market for those too...

Berhard Lederer's double detent escapement comes to mind, if you're looking for something that is attractive and technical. Though Bernhard may only be young at heart. The asking price is 140k. Developing such a watch might be too large a time investment

Speake-Marin - Piccadilly - Openworked Dual Time

Speake-Marin has always had an odd way of pairing a respectful nod to traditional watchmaking with a modern, design-driven approach. There’s something quite Anglo-Helvetian about it all. England and Switzerland each have storied pasts. Each country is str

The price is definitely much to high for me,

but I personally like the white dial and the focus on chronometry with a magnificent display case back. In April 2023, at AHCI, I went to Lederer’s stand and he very patiently tried to explain to me his technical ideas about the dual detent escapement. A

Bernhard Lederer CIC 39 Longitude

In my thread dedicated to Observatory dial watches , I recently highlighted Bernhard Lederer 's wonderful Triple Observatory Certified CIC 44 (Central Impulse Chronometer ref. CIC 9012.10.710). But, at 44 x 12.2 mm, this watch was a big one and not fitted
